Three of the football clubs playing in the Super League in China in the new season will be coached by Portuguese, Diário de Notícias reports.
The Portuguese newspaper says the latest club to recruit a Portuguese coach is the Super League runner-up last season, Shanghai SIPG, where Vítor Pereira is now in charge, having replaced another Portuguese, André Villas-Boas.
The report says Tianjin Quanjian, which finished third last season, will be coached by Paulo Sousa, and that Chongqing Lifan has hired former Portuguese national team manager Paulo Bento.
Dozens of other Portuguese coaches run the youth teams of leading Chinese clubs, are in charge of clubs in lower divisions or work at football academies, Diário de Notícias says.
